Dr. Alberhasky's Iowa roots run deep. Born and raised in Iowa City, where he graduated from Iowa City West High, Alberhasky earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Coe College (Cedar Rapids) in 1989. After graduating with high honors from the Southern College of Optometry (Memphis, TN) in 1993 and becoming certified by the Iowa Board of Optometry, Alberhasky practiced with local optometry practices until opening Alberhasky Eye Clinic in 1997.
Dr. Alberhaksy, an expert in the effects of computer use on the eyes, is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Iowa Optometric Association, and the international honor society Beta Sigma Kappa.
With more than 15 years of history in Iowa City, the Alberhasky Eye Clinic (which opened in November of 1997), has connected with the community by participating in Healthy Kids Community Care, a school-based Health Clinic, with Dr. Alberhasky serving as the only doctor doing free exams for this program.
